How it works

Hypnotherapy uses the hypnotic trance to allow the hypnotherapist to access the client’s unconscious mind, lodging affirmations and suggestions. Whether you are facing anxieties, fears and phobias, lack of confidence or addictions, sessions with Hypnotherapist Brian Fleming in our Glasgow clinic can be life-changing!

Start your journey

Brian Fleming will lead you through the process of hypnosis in a safe and relaxing environment, allowing you to fully open yourself up to the positive changes that a trained hypnotherapist can bring.

Hypnosis can been seen as being similar to sleep where the mind is in an altered and deeply relaxed state.

During hypnosis the mind is still capable of accessing memories, sensations and thoughts.

Hypnosis is useful for breaking negative habits, helping control pain, helping with stress levels and building confidence.
Hypnotherapy is absolutely safe when the practitioner is properly trained and qualified, especially when the practitioner has solid clinical experience behind them, as we do at The Complementary Medicine Centre.
At your first appointment the Hypnotherapist will take a full case history of the client and glean their desired outcomes.

For some conditions, such as stopping smoking, a one session protocol may be adequate. With other problems, especially ones that are long-established, several sessions may be necessary.
At the Complementary Medicine Centre, a hypnotherapy session usually lasts about one hour.

Your first session is usually split into two half hour parts. In the first part, we start by discussing the nature of your problem, as well as giving a thorough explanation of what hypnotherapy is and how it works.

In the second part of the session, the practitioner leads the client into the hypnotic state of deep relaxation where positive thoughts and affirmations can be brought to bear on the problem.
Many clients have commented that their session feels akin to meditation and that they are relaxed, invigorated and strengthened by the experience.

Hypnotherapy is proven to be an effective method for breaking habits, increasing confidence and even reducing physical symptoms of pain.

My great nephew registers on the autism spectrum. It has been a joy for our family to see how much he has come on under Brian’s care. He can now communicate much more effectively with us as well as interacting in a greater way. We can’t thank Brian enough for what he has done for him.
