For some conditions, such as stopping smoking, a one session protocol may be adequate. With other problems, especially ones that are long-established, several sessions may be necessary.
Your first session is usually split into two half hour parts. In the first part, we start by discussing the nature of your problem, as well as giving a thorough explanation of what hypnotherapy is and how it works.
In the second part of the session, the practitioner leads the client into the hypnotic state of deep relaxation where positive thoughts and affirmations can be brought to bear on the problem.
