How it works

Acupuncture is an ancient system of healing that involves small, thin needles being applied to certain pressure points in the body. This in turn releases endorphins and can help alleviate physical and emotional pain.

Acupuncture is part of the ancient practice of Traditional Chinese medicine.

It is believed that the human body has more than 2,000 acupuncture points which, when stimulated, can create an energy flow through the body which can result in better health and alleviate pain.
Most people report a slight sensation of pressure or tingling followed by a feeling of strong relaxation. Acupuncture should never be painful.
Acupuncture is performed using very fine needles applied to various points on the body. It is believed that acupuncture points may stimulate the nervous system, this in turn releases chemicals into the body which stimulate the body’s natural healing abilities, promoting physical and emotional wellbeing.
The National Institutes for Health Studies have shown that acupuncture is an effective treatment alone or in combination with conventional medicine to help the following:

– Headaches
– Addiction
– Menstrual pain
– Fibromyalgia
– Tennis Elbow
– Myofascial pain
– Arthritis
– Back and neck pain
– Stroke rehabilitation
– Digestive problems
– Gynaecological problems

My great nephew registers on the autism spectrum. It has been a joy for our family to see how much he has come on under Brian’s care. He can now communicate much more effectively with us as well as interacting in a greater way. We can’t thank Brian enough for what he has done for him.
