Taught over one weekend, these classes are a short course designed to give students  confidence in using homoeopathic healing in first-aid, acute and self help situations. Including tuition in homoeopathic principles and a selection of remedies from the largely plant based homoeopathic materia medica, the course will provide the skills necessary to work effectively and safely when the input of a healthcare professional is not required.

Homoeopathic first-aid does not by any means invalidate  standard first-aid practices but is an extra and invaluable holistic dimension which often makes a real difference.  Whether we are treating ourselves or one of our children for mild food poisoning, influenza, a burn or scald, or an insect bite, or dealing with an accident that we come across in the street, a homoeopathic remedy given while we are making someone comfortable as we wait for the ambulance, can be a real help and sometimes a life saver. In self help and family care, homoeopathy is as useful as it is safe and gentle.

Although the classes will cover the basic principles of homoeopathy, from the Law of Similars and Hering’s Law of Cure, to Single Remedy, Minimum Dose, Totality of Symptoms, Susceptibility, Provings and Potency, the course is a practical one, intended to give practical, useful, hands-on skills.

Class Dates: May 30th 31st 2009

The class begins at 10.00 a.m. and finishes at 5.00 p.m. with an hour for lunch.
