Counselling Glasgow

Both individual and couple counselling are available at the Complementary Medicine Centre.

What is counselling? Counselling, psychotherapy or talking therapy takes place when a counsellor sees a client in a private and confidential setting to explore a difficulty the client is having, distress they may be experiencing or perhaps their dissatisfaction with life, or loss of a sense of direction and purpose.

During the counselling sessions clients explore various aspects of their life and feelings, talking about them freely and openly in a way that is rarely possible with friends or family. Bottled up feelings such as anger, anxiety, grief and embarrassment can become very intense and the counselling "space" offers an opportunity to explore them, with the possibility of making them easier to understand.

At the Complementary Medicine Centre both Mairead Tagg and James Alexander work from a Humanistic perspective, integrating several models of counselling to best fit each client's world view always offering core elements of acceptance, non-judgement, respect, confidentiality, trust and respect.

The Complementary Medicine Centre endeavours to ensure that each client work with the therapist most appropriate for them, therefore we invite you to look at the information on both of our highly qualified and experienced practitioners.
